About DGEPA
The Directorate-General for Studies, Planning and Evaluation (DGEPA), created by Decree-Law No. 101/2025, is a service of the direct administration of the State, endowed with administrative autonomy, which is part of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation
Its objective is to provide technical support for defining strategic priorities and public policies in the areas of education, science, and innovation, as well as to promote, in coordination with other services and bodies of the Ministry, the evaluation and monitoring of its implementation and results.
Mission
DGEPA's Mission is to provide technical support for the definition of MECI’s strategic priorities, ensuring the monitoring of the public policy lifecycle and contributing to the development of evidence-based public policies.
